Transformation

Come and Die.

Then He (Jesus) said to them all, “If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me. - Luke 9:23

Phase 2 | Transformation

This is an important stage to our Discipleship Pathway. Phase 2 is where we will spend the majority of our time and will begin to apply scripture, practical tools and accountability to see transformation in our lives. When we come together each week we have an opportunity not only to encounter Jesus but to bring breakthrough and change to our lives. We have seen Jesus move in the hardest of hearts and bring radical transformation in the lives of many.

Transformation

Discipleship is transformation, not informational download or moral modification. When we experience transformation in our lives, we see a change in our hearts. This change leads us to “live more like Jesus.” We believe when the tools of the D3 pathway are applied to our lives, we hear and obey what Jesus might be asking us to do. In doing so, we then experience the most important piece of discipleship, transformation.

Tools

During Phase 2 our group will apply and experience practical tools to our lives. These tools are not doing the work, but providing a framework for us to begin to talk and think through how we can experience Jesus on a deeper and more intimate level. Each of our tools are based on simple shapes that can easily be remembered and explained to others.

Benchmark | The Out

We believe that one of the greatest opportunities we have as a believer is to share Jesus with those around us. Jesus himself said in Luke 4:43 “ I must proclaim the good news about the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because I was sent for this purpose.” Each of us as believers of Jesus are also “sent”. Before we exit P2, our groups will pick and pursue an opportunity where we get to meet a physical need and share the gospel in that context. We call this an OUT, a chance for us to bring “the kingdom of God” to those outside of the walls of our church and our homes.
